Sarah A. Miller

Sarah A. Miller is an editorial photographer with 17 years of experience in visual journalism. Passionate about community storytelling, she focuses on the humanity within daily news, creating images that foster connection and understanding. Her work spans sports, portraits, lifestyle, general news, and in-depth community features.

She spent nine years at the Tyler Morning Telegraph producing photo stories and videos on topics including maternal health, chronic illness, caregiving, and rural communities.

Sarah earned her journalism degree from Central Michigan University and was named Michigan College Photographer of the Year by the Michigan Press Photographers Association. She has participated in the Eddie Adams Workshop, Missouri Photo Workshop, and Mountain Workshops, and is a graduate of the Poynter Leadership Academy for Women in Media.

Her honors include Idaho Press Club Photographer of the Year (2023) and First Place Sports Action Photo from Associated Press Sports Editors (2024).

She is currently a visual journalist at the Idaho Statesman in Boise, Idaho.
