Mark Edward Harris
Mark Edward Harris is an award-winning photojournalist, author, and educator whose work spans all seven continents and more than 100 countries. He holds a Master’s degree in Pictorial/Documentary History from California State University, Los Angeles, and began his career photographing television and film productions before turning his focus to documentary and travel photography.
His work has been published worldwide in outlets including Vanity Fair, LIFE, Time, Newsweek, National Geographic Traveler, The New York Times, and The Washington Post. Harris has received numerous honors, including a CLIO Award, multiple International Photography Awards, and Sports Photographer of the Year Gold for his coverage of the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games.
Harris is the author of more than a dozen acclaimed books including: North Korea, Inside Iran, The People of the Forest, Wanderlust, The Way of the Japanese Bath, and Faces of the Twentieth Century: Master Photographers and Their Work.
His photographs are held in major collections worldwide, and he continues to teach and lecture internationally.
