Noah Berger
Noah Berger is a Pulitzer Prize-winning freelance photojournalist with 30 years of experience shooting for editorial, corporate, and government clients. He works regularly with major outlets including the Associated Press and San Francisco Chronicle, specializing in wildfires, social unrest, and breaking news.
Since covering the 2013 Rim Fire, Noah has devoted much of his time to documenting California’s largest wildfires, often spending days in the field under extreme conditions. His coverage of California’s deadliest fire season earned him Pulitzer Prize finalist recognition in 2019, and he went on to win the 2021 Pulitzer Prize in Breaking News Photography with Associated Press colleagues for coverage of Black Lives Matter protests.
A New York native, Noah lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife, son, and Labrador.
